What's Rate My Guitar Songs all about?

As the name suggests, Rate My Guitar Songs is an interactive site where users can submit and vote on guitar songs. It's designed to aurally entertain you while browsing the net and to help guitarists get feedback on their music. It doesn't even matter if you don't play guitar - anyone can join and rate the music they find interesting.

If you're a guitarist, you can impress others with your songs and/or look for feedback. Be sure to actively comment and help out others too - it's fun and it also gives your profile more exposure.

Can I link to my band/music in my profile and in my submissions?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Kidding. Of course you can - using the site to promote your band or yourself as an artist is completely fine. However, please don't be spammy about it. What does "spammy" mean? Well the community will dictate that via voting or a moderator will let you know.

How can I sort submissions by my favorite types of music?

On the left side of the page, click on Topics. This will bring you to the tag cloud page where you can select from popular music tags. If you want to go more broadly, when you're in the Music section, hover over Genres and select as you please.

How do I submit stuff?

Click on the Submit button found on every page, located on the left right next to the login button and or also located at the bottom of every listing page. The Submit page will have further instructions on where to go from there.

How do I edit my profile?

Clicking on an edit link found anywhere in your profile will take you to your edit page for that area.
To edit your profile simply fill in the information you want to change on your profile edit page and click the update button.
